What Is Different About Ladies Car Insurance?

Posted on December 3rd, 2009

Let’s be honest here – male and female drivers are much different. The stereotype of a “woman driver” is not good. She puts on her make-up while she drives, she doesn’t pay attention, she takes her time or stops abruptly. But, let’s take a look at the other side. Men are also a little dangerous behind the wheel. They multi-task in much the same way the make-up applying female driver does. They smoke or talk on the phone, they adjust the radio, they eat, and some of them even shave on the way to work in their car!  So, who should pay the most for their insurance? Should ladies car insurance be more?

In fact, ladies car insurance is less than men’s insurance in most cases and it has nothing to do with the multi-tasking that is going on in the car. Men often pay more for their insurance because of the cars that they drive and because more of them are single and without families. People who married, or with children, pay less because insurance companies see them as more stable and less apt to drive drunk or wildly.

Ladies car insurance also takes into account the fact that women are, by nature, significantly less aggressive and prone to racing or road rage than men are. This makes them safer drivers. Women also tend to drive cars that are less apt to be stolen or involved in break-ins.

You may think that female drivers are a menace on the road, but the car insurance companies sure don’t! Especially among younger drivers, a teenage female driver will always pay less for their auto insurance than a teenage male driver because of how teenage boys are, both in the car and out of the car. So, if you are a woman, congratulations on your good driving!
