Efficiency of 2012 Ford Focus Electric surpasses 100 mpg equivalent

The adoption of fuel-efficient vehicles has been a slow one among consumers, but automakers are working hard to unveil new options and make the market more competitive. Ford is staying in the race to provide the most efficient and cost-effective products to consumers, and recently announced that its 2012 Focus Electric exceeds other 100 mpg equivalents. This accomplishment makes it the first five-passenger vehicle to reach the 100 mpg mark.
The new Ford electric vehicle is expected to host a number of other benefits that will allow it to remain competitive, the first of which is its cooling and heating system which maximizes its efficiency. The lithium-ion battery is equipped with a system that regulates the temperature of heating and cooling liquids based on outside temperatures.

One of the easiest ways to receive a discount on auto insurance, though, is to purchase some sort of an alarm system for your car. Insurers pass out discounts for car alarms because these devices make it less likely that a thief will steal your car or break into it.

Court finds direct writer didn’t explain optional benefits properly, but dismisses action against Meloche Monnex

The Ontario Superior Court has found that a direct writer breached its duty of care in offering optional benefits to a consumer. Nevertheless, the court dismissed the claim against Meloche Monnex because it found the claimant would not have purchased the optional benefits anyway.
The case concerns an auto accident that occurred in May 2007. It does not address optional benefits offered under the reformed Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS). Under the new SABS, implemented in 2010, a wider array of optional benefits is available to consumers.
In , the plaintiff in the case, Nicola Zefferino, was a named insured under a policy offered by Meloche Monnex.

Lately, it seems that auto insurance, much like health insurance, has been on the rise with respect to cost. The fact remains that in order to drive a vehicle in any state in the US, an auto insurance policy must be obtained. The level and basic coverage allowed is determined by each state which also dictates the cost of such insurance. Montana Regulators Make It Easier for Consumers to File Complaints

Montana regulators have introduced an online form for consumer complaints about insurance after 2011 saw a 27 percent increase in funds recovered for policyholders as a result of wrongfully denied claims and improperly issued policies.
The state Commissioner of Securities and Insurance (CSI) recouped $4.7 million on behalf of consumers of auto, home and other types of coverage last year—a $1 million hike from 2010. CSI officials say the new paperless complaint forms are meant to make it easier for consumers who suspect they are being treated unfairly by their coverage providers to alert regulators.

If you are pondering what mobile home insurance you may need for your particular caravan, there are a few points worth keeping in mind:
- the term mobile home may not be universally understood by all insurers and you may find that the terms park home or static caravan may be more commonly used;
- strictly speaking, in typical insurance terms, there is a fundamental difference between a static caravan and a park home in the case of the former, these are typically regarded as being classic caravans occupied for perhaps a couple of weeks or so during the year for holiday purposes, however, a park home is regarded as being your permanent place of residence;
- as such, the term mobile home may be more closely associated with a park home than a static caravan;
- if you are wondering what mobile home insurance is appropriate, you may wish to note that typically static caravan insurance may become invalid if you start occupying your static on a permanent basis, treating it has your main place of domicile;
- the difference between the two forms of insurance is based around the recognition that typically a parkhome may be more extensively and expensively furnished than a holiday caravan it may also contain a higher value of personal items;
- bear in mind that in the case of either a park home or a static caravan, if you start to rent it out, however infrequently, you may be putting your insurance at risk unless you have commercial use cover included;
- some site owners may suggest that it would be advantageous to use their own insurance cover for your caravan or static, however, it may be advisable to seek your own quotation to use as a comparison;
- In the case of both park homes and static caravans, your insurers may regard them as being fundamentally fixed in position (though they may recognise that they are occasionally moved from one position to another on the site or in some cases, possibly into winter storage) so if you do plan to move them it may be advisable to check your policy;
